Absolutely! You don't need a professional camera to enjoy the experience. A smartphone is perfectly suitable for the tour, and we'll help you make the most of its camera and features.

Ideally, yes. Your own camera allows you to learn how to use the equipment you already have. However, you can contact us if you have questions about equipment before booking.

Bring whatever you normally use to take photographs — a camera or smartphone, plus extra batteries and a memory card if you're using a camera.We also recommend wearing comfortable shoes, as we'll be walking through Porto. If rain is in the forecast, bring a jacket or rain protection so you can stay comfortable during the experience.

Yes. We have two extra tripods available to borrow during the photography tour. Just let us know in advance if you'd like to use one.

The experience can include street photography, architecture, cityscape, landscape and travel photography. The exact focus can be adapted to your interests.

The 3-hour experience is ideal for a focused photography session in selected areas of Porto. The 6-hour experience allows more time to explore different locations, experiment with different types of photography and receive more extensive guidance.

Yes. Private tours are available and can be adapted to your photography interests, experience level and preferred pace.

Yes. Small-group experiences are available for 3–4 people, making them ideal for friends, couples or family members traveling together.

No. You don't need a car to explore Porto. Most of the city tours are done on foot, with public transportation used when needed.If you haven't purchased your transportation tickets yet, we can help you understand the options and get your tickets.For tours in the surroundings of Porto, transportation by car can be arranged with Nicholai for an additional cost to cover fuel.

Absolutely. Depending on your level, we can help with manual mode, exposure, focus, aperture, shutter speed, ISO and other camera settings while you're actually photographing.

The tour price includes the guided photography experience with Nicholai Nielsen, including his local knowledge, photography guidance, tips and feedback throughout the tour, +30 min pre-call.The following are not included in the tour price:Public transportation ticketsFood and beveragesEntrance tickets to museums, parks or other private locationsOther personal expensesIf you need to use public transportation or purchase entrance tickets during the experience, we can help you understand the options and purchase the tickets.

Tours can take place in Porto and selected surrounding areas. The route depends on the experience you choose, your photography interests, available time and the conditions on the day.

The photography experience is available in English or Danish. Danish is Nicholai's native language.

Porto can be beautiful in all kinds of weather, and changing conditions can create interesting photographic opportunities. We'll assess the conditions and adapt the experience and route when necessary. If weather conditions make the experience impractical or unsafe, we'll discuss the available options with you.
